Postgraduate teaching

I teach on a range of units and courses:

  • Community Health (Specialist Practitioner Course) - Learning Disability pathway lead
  • Multi-professional Standards for Learning and Assessment in Practice (MSLAP), this was formerly known as the Mentor Preparation course and is delivered in-house to a range of Trusts across Greater Manchester. - Course Leader
  • Developing Research Skills
  • Developing Leadership and Professional Practice
  • Learning Disability Awareness for the Pre-registration nursing programme and the SCPHN course.

I also teach on the unit: Learning Disabilities and Social Inclusion: Truth or Dare? in the Department of Social Care & Social Work

Research outputs

My research interest include:

  • The role and effectiveness of partnerships in health and social care organisations.
  • The awareness of learning disability issues amongst healthcare professionals and those working in the Criminal Justice System.
  • The incidence and prevalence of hate and mate crime against people with learning disabilities.
