Biography
Emma graduated in Law from the University of Manchester in 1990.
After qualifying, Emma practised Law for almost 25 years including 10 years in senior management and leadership roles within the legal services sector. Emma has significant experience in risk management in legal services. Emma is also an experienced Non-Executive Board Director.
Emma joined Manchester Metropolitan University in 2019.
Emma is Programme Leader for the Manchester Met MBA, the Global Online MBA and Global Online MSc in Finance and Strategy and Unit Leader for the degree’s Strategy and Leadership unit.
Emma leads the Business Law units for the degrees of BSc Accounting and Finance and Banking and Finance.
Emma also co-leads Continuing Professional Development at Level 5 across the degrees of BSc Accounting and Finance and Banking and Finance.
Emma is Postgraduate Employability Lead (Finance and Economics).
Emma co-leads the Collaboration for Professional Excellence, working with ICAEW (NW) and the Chartered Banker Institute, to bring practical experience, knowledge and research on current issues, to students, professionals and academics.
