My profile

Biography

My name is Tara Peters and I am a lecturer in Social Work Education, contributing to student learning across all of our qualifying programmes. I am a registered Social Worker and member of the Institute for Children’s Futures here at Manchester Metropolitan University.

As an experienced children’s social worker, workforce development officer and now educator I am dedicated to excellence in both social work education and professional practice. My passion for improving the lives of people in need of support services guides my work within education. My approach to teaching and learning includes relational and social constructivist pedagogy with strategies to encourage educational improvement and creativity. I hold a leadership role in personal tutoring prioritising a context of belonging and mattering for students.
