My profile

Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer in English. I currently teach undergraduate courses on reading and writng skills for transition to university, post-war British Literature and representations of trauma. I also teach on an MA unit on ‘Time’ where I focus on the conflicts between private and public trauma/s. 

Academic and professional qualifications

I have a PhD in English Literature, an MA in Women’s Studies, a PGCE in secondary (11-18) education (English and Drama) and a BA (Hons) in English Literature with Sociology minor.

Other academic service (administration and management)

Level 4 (Year 1) Stage Tutor: I oversee the organisation of our level 4 (first year) units and have responsibility for the implementation and delivery of pastoral support systems at level 4.

My passions are women’s writing, feminist literary theory, theories of reading and the reader, the Twentieth and Twenty-First Century novel and contemporary book cultures.
