Biography

I am a Senior Lecturer (Software Engineering) in the Department of Computing and Mathematics with research interests in distributed artificial intelligence, sensor networks, and multi-agent systems. Prior to joining Manchester Metropolitan University, I was a Research Scientist and Occasional Lecturer at University College Dublin (UCD). As a postdoctoral researcher, I held two prestigious Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering, and Technology (IRCSET) fellowships, namely the INSPIRE Marie Curie International Mobility Fellowship and the Government of Ireland Embark Fellowship. During the mobility fellowship, I was hosted by the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford for an outgoing phase of two years and by the School of Computer Science at UCD for a return phase of one year. I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a first class B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Computer and Software Engineering.
