Biography
I joined Manchester Metropolitan University in 2021 as a lecturer in Human Resource Management and teach within this area on undergraduate and postgraduate level. Prior to this, I was a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Liverpool University, where I completed my PhD in Organisational Behaviour in July 2021.

Teaching
I mainly teach on our undergraduate programmes. For the academic year 2024/25 I am the unit lead on Introduction to Human Resource Management, and also teach on Fairness at Work and Leading Change, Decision Making and Risk.
Supervision
I supervise undergraduate students and students on our Global Online programmes, as well as our MSc in HRM.
I am also open to supervising PhD students interested in taking a qualitative approach to explore the broad area of work-life experiences, including:
• Managing work and non-work roles and identities
• Organisational policies and structures in relation to managing non-work roles and identities
• Gender diversity
Research outputs
My research interests include HRM, Organisational Behaviour and Work Psychology topics with a focus on the following:
- The Work-Family interface
- The transition to parenthood in a work context
- Organisational maternity and paternity policies and practices
- Gender in the workplace
- Non-traditional families (lone parents, blended families, same-sex couples) in the workplace
