My profile
Biography
My personal career started in the restaurant sector and this was the start of a journey that took me to a variety of international hospitality businesses from hotels to cruise ships and where I experienced the global hospitality business and an amazing array of people and cultures. During my industry years I took on a variety of operational and management roles which gave me an enthusiast view of this dynamic industry, cultivated from my early years in the family restaurant.
In 2000, I started working for Manchester Metropolitan University as an associate lecturer in an attempt to share my knowledge, skills and experience. Since then I have continued to work in higher education whilst attempting to link education back to industry through a number of projects and initiatives. My current role is to support the development of the hospitality degree programmes (UG & PG).
