My profile
Biography
I am a Lecturer in Marketing here at MMU, based within the department of Marketing, International Business & Tourism.
Interests and expertise
My research interests primarily lie within the field of consumer research. Specifically, harnessing qualitative approaches to explore and understand consumer behaviour.
I am a member of Market Transformations, a research and knowledge platform within MIBT. I also hold Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
Projects
My (PhD) research focusses on rental fashion and the Circular Economy (CE). Specifically, it seeks to explore if renting, as an access-based form of consumption, informs a consumer’s self concept and if/how this supports the strive for a CE.
I have also worked with colleagues on their collaboration ‘Mothers and Markets’, a project exploring motherhood in the context of the Manchester Christmas markets - of which a paper is currently under review (Sociology).
Teaching
In semester one (24/25) I will be teaching on the following units; Introduction to Marketing (L4), Consumer Behaviour (L5) and Sales & Marketing (L5). I remain Dissertation supervisor to 10 Masters students. I am also Personal Tutor to L6 students.
Research outputs
Reviewer for Journal of Consumer Behaviour (2023)
