Biography

Since gaining my PGCE at MMU in 1996, I have taught Drama
and Theatre Studies in schools across Greater Manchester. I have also held a
number of management positions, including the post of Assistant Head of Sixth
Form.

In 2014 I completed an MA in Theatre and Performance at The University of
Manchester.

I am currently a Tutor working across the teacher education programmes in the Faculy of Education.

Research outputs

I am currently involved in the RKE programme within the Faculty of Education. My area of focus is trainee teachers’ perceptions of the profession prior to commencing initial teacher training, and how this is influenced by in-school experiences and University teaching sessions. I also continue to be interested in the relationship between Drama Education and gender.
