Biography
After 15 years of practitioner experience in Germany, Heinz joined MMUBS as a Senior Lecturer in 1991, where he was subsequently promoted to Reader and later Professor of International Business.
In 2006, Heinz became Director of the Centre for International Business and Innovation (CIBI), which brings together recognised scholars in international business, international political economy and innovation studies in a dedicated research centre. CIBI is affiliated to high profile organisations including the EU sponsored DIME (Dynamics of Institutions in Europe - Network of Excellence).
Invited to speak at events including the United Nations Symposia and UN Expert Group meetings, Heinz has also acted as an investigator of research grants provided by the ESRC, European Commission Framework 7 and the British Academy. Heinz’s extensive experience of chairing and organising conferences involves the Academy of International Business Conference in 2015.
