16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence: Open Mic
Reading
We welcome poems on the themes of resistance, social change, allyship or feminism
Join us for our poetry open mic night as part of the UN 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence. Whether you’re a well-seasoned poet or a first-time performer, this welcoming space invites you to share your voice and connect on a vital cause. If you would like to perform on the open mic, we welcome poems tonight on the theme of resistance, social change, allyship or feminism. Sign up on the door for an open mic spot.
Hosted by Dr Kim Moore, a Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, and Katie Davies, a final year Creative Writing Student.
This event is part of 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a series of poetry readings, panels and workshops led by academics in the field. Our events examine how poetry can create transformational social change in partnership with the public and policymakers.
