Children's Poetry Collection
We have a fantastic selection of children’s poetry for you to explore. The collection is based on recommendations from some of the country’s leading organisations and children’s writers. You can discover our collection through the catalogue, or in our dedicated children’s area. The books are available to borrow and children of all ages are welcome to become members.
The collection includes:
- Poetry picture books
- Children’s poetry in English and other languages
- YA verse novels
- A dedicated children’s area in the library, including seating, an activity table and access to resources.

The collection touches on so many topics, there’s no doubt it will reflect our young reader’s lives… Here, children and parents, all our readers, will have a safe, creative place to explore the world through poetry – no longer simply a category within a library, but a library within a category.
