Our partnership with RLWC21

We are the official University Partner of the Rugby League World Cup 2021 (RLWC21).

Delayed a year due to the pandemic, the competition runs from Saturday 15 October to 19 November 2022 and will see an expected one million people attending with even more watching from around the world.

We’re proud to team up with such a global event, cementing our position as a leading university for sports science and research, based in our city of sport.

Our partnership in action

We’re running two tournament-related research projects, providing internships for students and tournament volunteering opportunities, and even offering the chance to train with the Australian team on our campus.
