What is your enterprise?

I have started a side hustle selling beard oil, the idea behind it is I was already making my own for personal use. I put a lot of time into creating the best natural and fulfilling formula, and so a really good business idea came about organically.

Why did you apply for the Flash Fund?

I applied to the Flash Fund as I wanted to increase my supply, and so a lot of testing was needed. By making bigger batches I could increase my marketing and accommodate for increased demand. The money from the fund has allowed me to perfect the formula for the larger batches.

What has the funding allowed you to do?

Create a great product, without the stress of losing money on different ingredients which I won’t be using for the end product. Put simply the funding has allowed me to experiment and see what would be best for my product.

Would you recommend others apply for the Flash Fund?

Absolutely, a lot of the time lack of funding is what stops people from going into business. This fund gives an incentive for people to actually go ahead and put out into the world the millions of ideas we think of.
