After completing a few work experience placements at local IT firms, I knew that a degree apprenticeship involving digital technologies would be the right decision for me. When exploring and learning about different IT roles, the reoccurring theme was ‘years of experience’. This scheme offers the opportunity to learn on the job while studying towards a degree, so I knew this was an apprenticeship I couldn’t turn down.

The Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship allows for career development and also self-development of softer skills such as confidence, effective communication skills and being a team player.

I am really enjoying my apprenticeship both at work with AstraZeneca and my time as a student. The support offered from university, work from fellow apprentices, colleagues, managers, and mentors is unparalleled and amazing. At AstraZeneca, every day is a different day, with lots of learning.

I am very passionate about working at AstraZeneca because our work and efforts ultimately save patient lives, by providing medicines for all, which is an indescribable feeling. All in all, I am very happy with this decision I made on pursuing a degree apprenticeship at AstraZeneca.
