My degree apprenticeship journey so far

Being a Laboratory Scientist (Bioscience) Degree Apprentice has been an amazing and insightful experience. I’ve gained lots of new skills, knowledge, and friends from both the university and my company after just a few months of being on this programme, and I am looking forward to the future and what else I can gain from this course.

Pebble Biotechnology has graciously nominated me for the Apprentice of the Year – Health, Wellbeing and Care Award at the North West Apprenticeship Awards 2023, due to the hard work I have displayed since starting the role as well as my eagerness to learn new skills and volunteering to get involved in extra work within the team.

I am extremely thankful to Pebble Biotechnology for providing me with the opportunity to advance my career by supporting me through a degree apprenticeship and nominating me for this award. It means so much to me that the extra effort I have put into my work was enough for the company to take notice and nominate me.

I look forward to continuing to learn new techniques and methods as I endeavour to learn via practical experience in a patient driven research laboratory moving towards a brighter future.
