Manchester Metropolitan work closely with online application service providers such as Vevox, Mentimeter, Kahoot and Nearpod to deliver a range of interactive services, such as live polling, Q&A sessions, discussion groups and surveys. These providers act as processors for the University under contract. When you are invited to use one of these applications, you do not have to provide any personal data – you do not have to use your real name, or provide any identifying information in any responses you provide whilst using the service. If you do choose to be identifiable, we process your information under our legitimate interests.

The provider will retain any data you provide for a maximum of 12 months, after which point it will be deleted from their servers. The information may be transferred to local Manchester Metropolitan University servers for a longer period, in line with the University’s retention and disposal schedule. For information provided by students as a part of a course, the retention period as a maximum will be for the duration of the course.
