University partnership with IAB UK offers free training in digital marketing for students and staff
Manchester Metropolitan University has launched a new partnership with the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB UK) that will offer staff and students training opportunities to boost their credentials in the digital marketing sector.
The University is only the second university to partner with the respected digital advertising industry body.
The new partnership offers students and staff across the University access to IAB UK’s extensive resources including research, webinars and reports for use in assignments and learning materials. The partnership will also provide access to IAB UK’s newly launched e-learning platform, which allows students to complete training courses to achieve an IAB Informed Certificate.
Increase employability
Joanna Bodley, Senior Lecturer in Digital Marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University, said: “As only the second university to partner with IAB to offer these resources, e-learning platform and certification scheme, we continue to set our graduates apart.

The partnership between Manchester Met University and IAB UK adds to our already strong industry links and provides a wealth of trusted, real-world and cutting-edge content from practitioners and experts to support our teaching and our students’ studies.
“The new IAB Informed Certificate allows our students to further strengthen their CVs, increase their employability and achieve standout in a competitive market once they graduate.”
The platform is suitable for all abilities and seniority and covers all aspects of digital through expert training courses put together by the IAB team and specialist practitioners. Students can hand-select individual content and courses to support their studies, satisfy their curiosity, strengthen their CV, or attain the IAB Informed Certification.
Students taking advantage of the RISE at Manchester Met programme will also be able to gain RISE points by completing the course by sending their certificate and/or a screenshot showing completion to the RISE team, who will provide the corresponding points to their profile.

Helping students thrive

The idea being that this will become a recognised badge of quality and understanding awarded to students who go through the training requirements.
