Why study psychology?

Psychology is the science of how we think, feel, behave and communicate.

It is concerned with all aspects of human experience and seeks to change and improve everyday life. You’ll search for answers using scientific methods to help you develop an understanding of human behaviour.

On our accredited psychology courses, you’ll learn core British Psychological Society (BPS) content. As well as developing a thorough understanding of key psychological research, theory and principles, you’ll also participate in practical learning and experimental research.

At Manchester Met we support our psychology students to develop their natural curiosity, creating graduates equipped to explore the human experience in a motivated, ethical, empathetic and scientific manner.

Since studying psychology, I’ve found the course to be engaging and introspective – where it’s made me think about things I’ve never really thought about. I decided to come to Manchester Met as the University has a lot going on. The University caters to your needs so if you’re ever worried about something, the support is always there.
