About the research project

Research has found that 40% of 16 to 24-year-olds often feel lonely, making it the loneliest age (BBC Loneliness Experiment).  

Our Loneliness and Young People research area exists to investigate youth loneliness alongside young people, using co-produced methods (techniques which are designed in collaboration with the research participants), and also creative and arts-based methods.

LEFT ON READ

In collaboration with research participants, we designed creative encounters to explore how COVID-19 lockdowns affected young people’s mental health, levels of social isolation, and loneliness.
