Why study in nursing?

Nurses are the trusted face of healthcare, the calm voice explaining a procedure. They are the go-to figure to provide unwavering support, valuing patient’s dignity and providing care no matter what the circumstances.

More than ever, our nursing staff are using their evidence-based practice to develop new course content. So we’re not only improving students’ nursing skills, we’re also teaching them to become leaders of the future by thinking critically and considering the possibility of shaping policy.

Looking to change career or re-train?
If you already hold an undergraduate degree, we offer two MSc Nursing pre-registration courses in Adult and Mental Health Nursing.
These two-year courses are designed specifically for postgraduate students as an accelerated route into nursing.

Hear from Spack, Critical Care Nurse and Manchester Met graduate, who talks about what inspired him to become a nurse and why he chose to study nursing at Manchester Met.

I want to drive improvement in patient care, whilst being a strong advocate for patients during their time in hospital. Part of me wants to change the world, it might just take a while.
