Introduction

Manchester School of Architecture (MSA) is an innovative collaboration between Manchester Metropolitan University and The University of Manchester. We unite two schools with more than 100 years’ experience, over 35 experts in their architectural fields and more than 700 students from over 50 countries producing creative, challenging and academically rigorous work and research in the heart of Manchester.

You'll work from the Manchester Technology Centre, a dynamic environment immersed in innovation and formerly occupied by the BBC where you’ll enjoy access to innovative facilities, including photography and editing suites, material and AV stores, a variety of workshops such as model making, wood, plastics, foam, print and metal.

Academic expertise

You'll benefit from the expertise of specialist practice and research-active lecturers who provide a rich and stimulating environment to study architecture. Our academic staff include winners of the RIBA Ethel Day Award and the RIBS Stirling Prize.

Manchester Student Society of Architecture (MSSA) is one of the largest of its kind in the UK, giving you the opportunity to build valuable relationships with other architects, attend guest talks and enjoy plenty of social activities throughout the year.
